- Want to share a food photo AND a recipe together? Let’s discuss this one. Please email me to chat about details.
I am not a professional dietitian. If you use one of my recipes from Steph in Thyme, please note it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure the exact ingredients and servings used meet your specific dietary and health needs.
A multitude of brands and products are on the market today, each with different means of processing food that can also change. If you are following a strict diet (i.e. nut-free, grain-free, gluten-free, egg-free, dairy-free, etc.), be sure to confirm that the brand you use in the recipe meets your specific dietary needs.
Always, always, always check labels to ensure a product or ingredient is gluten-free. When in doubt, call the company’s number listed on the product and ask (I’ve done it before, they’re very informative and nice!)
If you go to a restaurant I have reviewed, it is still your responsibility to confirm the food you order is prepared gluten-free. Always inform your waitstaff of your food allergies. When in doubt, speak to a manager or chef to discuss your dietary needs.
In addition, please note that cook/prep/passive times in addition to exact yield/servings included in the blog’s recipes are approximate. Exact times and yield may vary from individual to individual (i.e. due to differences in kitchen equipment, culinary skill level, etc.) For example, one individual may be able to dice vegetables and prep ingredients faster than another individual (including me!), resulting in shorter prep time.
